The 865-kilometre Republic of Mozambique Pipeline Company (ROMPCO) gas pipeline was built to transport gas from the Pande and Temane fields in Mozambique to Sasol's industrial customers in South Africa, including the Secunda and Sasolburg petrochemical plants. The pipeline was completed in 2003 and gas supplies started in 2004. Gas is also supplied to domestic power stations and industrial customers in Mozambique.
