Report summary
The M'Via field is located onshore, 60 kilometres north of Kribi. The field was discovered by Elf in the 1980s. In 2004, Perenco was awarded a 25-year development licence but withdrew from the block in 2007. Operatorship was subsequently transferred to Societe Nationale des Hydrocarbures (SNH), the national oil company of Cameroon. This is the only field operated by SNH.First oil was in November 2013.
