Report summary
State-owned Naftogaz is Ukraine's leading operator across the energy value chain. Its upstream production is primarily managed by its fully-owned Ukrgazvydobuvannya (UGV) subsidiary. UGV is the largest gas producer in Ukraine and operates an extensive onshore portfolio across the country. Although most of its gas fields are mature, production has remained stable for almost two decades. In 2025, UGV's net output was approximately 1200 mmcfd (12.4 bcm a year) - around 75% of Ukraine's total.
