North West Shelf LNG - upstream
Report summary
The North West Shelf Project (NWSP) is a giant offshore gas project in the North Carnarvon Basin. The project was first sanctioned in 1980 and has two distinct elements, domestic gas supply and LNG export. NWSP is the largest LNG export project in Australasia and supplies LNG to Japan, South Korea and China. The project is also the largest single supplier of gas to the Western Australian domestic market.
