Report summary
The Northstar field lies offshore, 10 kilometres (six miles) from Prudhoe Bay and is one of the most northerly developments in the US. BP has developed the reservoir from Seal Island, the first man-made island in the Beaufort Sea without a causeway connection to the mainland.
