Report summary
The week in focus has been published for over 30 years and covers all exploration and appraisal drilling activity throughout Northwest Europe. The report also provides comprehensive coverage of deals and licensing activity, detailing all farm-ins/outs, asset sales/swaps, corporate acquisitions and licence awards. A well tracker is available for download. This weeks edition covers: In the UK, Nexen has plugged and abandoned the 38/2-1z exploration sidetrack well on the Komodo prospect in the Northern North Sea. In Norway Total has discovered gas and condensate on its Herja prospect, north-east of its under-development Martin Linge field. Statoil has also announced two minor discoveries in the Njord area. Well 6407/7-9S struck oil, gas and condensate while the sidetrack 6407/7-9A encountered gas. In the Barents Sea region Lundin's appraisal well on the Alta discovery, 7220/11-3 AR, has been completed and production test was carried out giving significant gas flow rates.
