Ocean Pakistan Limited (formerly Orient Petroleum International Inc.) was formed by the merger of Orient with its wholly owned subsidiary OPL. Orient Petroleum International Inc. was created in 1995 when Occidental sold its producing assets in the Upper Indus Basin, including the Bhangali, Dhurnal and Ratana fields, to Orient Petroleum Inc.
