XF-002 is a recent gas discovery located in Offshore Block 2, around 35 kilometres off the coast of Abu Dhabi. Eni discovered the field in 2022, marking the company's first exploration well after acquiring multiple blocks during ADNOC's 2018 and 2019 licensing rounds. Initial gas-in-place (GIIP) estimates were between 1.5 to 2 tcf, from multiple Jurassic reservoirs.
