Offshore Democratic Republic of Congo is a mature development that began producing in the shallow water off the coast of the DRC in 1976. The current operator Perenco has slowed the rate of decline on the fields through infill drilling, de-bottlenecking and workovers. Production peaked at 27,000 b/d in 1984 but has since fallen by more than 50%. The development was originally made up of ten fields: GCO, GCO South, Libwa, Lukami, Mibale, Misato, Moko, Motoba, Mwambe and Tshiala.
