The onshore Mandji area contains 13 small oil fields and a further two offshore fields that have been exploited by onshore wells. Included is the oldest field in Gabon the Port Gentil field where production started in 1957.Most of the fields in the onshore Mandji area have been shut in. In recent years production has exclusively come from the Ntchengué and Port Gentil fields. As part of efforts to stem the rate of decline three development wells were drilled during 2007 and 2008. ...
