The Mandji area includes 13 onshore and two offshore oil fields that are produced via onshore wells. The small discoveries were made in the 1950s and 1960s by Societe des Petroles d'Afrique Equatoriale Francaise (SPAEF), the predecessor of TotalEnergies EP Gabon.
