Ogo is a large oil and gas discovery located in shallow water offshore Lagos. Discovered in 2013, Ogo lies in the Keta-Togo-Benin Basin and yielded a P50 reserves estimate of 770 mmboe, well in excess of the pre-drill 200 mmboe estimate. In May 2014, a large 3D seismic survey was carried out over OPL 310 and OML 113. Within OPL 310, the survey covered 1,505 square kilometres equating to 80% of the block's acreage. Interpretation of the results commenced in H2 2014 and have now been completed. Although Ogo is a large discovery and potentially very valuable, the collapse of Afren and the current absence of an experienced technical operator means we have downgraded it to a technical reserve.
