Oseberg Transportation System (OTS)

Report summary

The Oseberg Transportation System (OTS) was built to transfer oil from the Oseberg field to an onshore terminal located at Sture, north of Bergen. The OTS pipeline was the first oil pipeline to be landed onshore Norway. It crosses the Norwegian trench at depths of over 360 metres. The length of the pipeline is 115 kilometres and it has a diameter of 28 inches. An upgrade to the Terminal, the Sture Crude Upgrade Project, was completed in 1999, which enabled processing of associated NGLs from the Oseberg area.
