Report summary
2021 was a stable year for fiscal changes as prices began to rebound from last year’s price crash. Governments held relatively steady policy positions, but some countries managed to stimulate existing upstream investment. Others increased budget inflows from the producing assets. In our 2020 review we highlight: • Which countries delivered the largest fiscal disruptions? • Where did fiscal evolution incentivise new investment? • What did the changes do to countries' relative fiscal attractiveness?
