Report summary
The Sendji and Yanga fields were discovered on the Pointe Noire Grand Fond (PNGF) exploration licence in 1973 and 1979, respectively. A development licence was carved out in 1979 and Yanga achieved first oil in 1981. The shallow water fields are reservoired in the Albian and Cenomanian sandstone, two key productive formations in offshore Congo.Crude from the nearby Kombi, Likala and Libondo (KLL) fields, operated by Perenco, is also processed at Yanga.
