Pointed Mountain
Report summary
The Pointed Mountain gas field is located in the southwest corner of the Northwest Territories, close to the border with British Columbia and the Yukon. The field was discovered in 1966 by Pan American and came onstream in 1972, peaking at 145 mmcfd the following year. By 2000, production had fallen to around 1.65 mmcfd.
