Report summary
The Polarled pipeline project has been initiated to provide a transport solution for gas fields in a remote area of the Norwegian Sea. As there is insufficient capacity in the Åsgard Transportation System (ÅTS) to export additional gas volumes from Mid Norway, a new pipeline will be constructed from the Aasta Hansteen development to the Nyhamna terminal.
