Qaidam Basin (Qinghai fields)
Report summary
The Qinghai fields complex is located in the Qaidam Basin, an intermontane oil and gas-bearing basin in northwest China. The complex is the fourth-largest gas-producing region onshore China, after Sichuan, Ordos and Tarim. The Sebei gas field is the key project and has maintained over 480 mmcfd of production over the past 13 years. Gas supplies markets in four provinces - Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia and Tibet.
