RAG is the oldest upstream operator in Austria. It produces oil and gas from an extensive portfolio of fields, which since it sold its producing acreage in the Vienna basin to ADX Energy in 2019, are all in the Molasse basin. Production peaked in the 1970s and RAG's assets are now extremely mature.
