Report summary
In India, disagreements between companies and regulators yet again characterised most of 2012. But the year ended on a more positive note as the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG) and the Government showed some intent to take decisions that could rejuvenate the oil and gas sector. NELP IX production sharing contract's (PSC) were finally signed and the Ministry also allowed operators to explore in development areas.
