The giant Russkoye field is expected to become a key producing field for Rosneft but is one of the most challenging fields in Rosneft's portfolio. It lies in the Yamal Nenets Autonomous Okrug close to the super giant South Russkoye and Zapolyarnoye gas fields.With geological ABC1+C2 reserves of 9.5 billion barrels and 3.5 tcf of gas, the field is one of the largest undeveloped fields globally.
