Sakhalinmorneftegaz (SMNG) was a subsidiary of Rosneft operating on Sakhalin Island (Russia's Far East) until it was sold in tranches to Neftegazholding (NNK). As well as holding licences to most of the small, mature, onshore fields on Sakhalin, it was also the body through which Rosneft participated in the Sakhalin-1 project.
