Country Report
Seychelles upstream summary
Report summary
To date no hydrocarbons have been discovered in Seychelles. Although companies have been active in Seychelles since the 1970s, this has largely focused on seismic data acquisition. The country is frontier, with only four exploration wells drilled historically, three of which encountered hydrocarbon shows. Most of the companies active have exited and relinquished their licences. JOGMEC remains the only active company in the country.
