Report summary
Songnan is a cluster of gas fields in the Jilin Province, northeast China. The gas-bearing reservoir is characterised by volcanic rocks and the gas contains over 20% of CO2. Sinopec Corp operates the gas field complex, in the Songliao Basin, and has built a gas processing plant with a capacity of 105 mmcfd. The gas is sold to the cities of Jilin, Changchun and Siping within the province.
