The South Howarime contract area is situated in the Say'un Al Masila Basin, east of the prolific Masila fields. The Nabrajah field was discovered in 2004 and brought onstream in July 2005. Despite potential particularly from the fractured basement, appraisal drilling has been disappointing and reserves have been downgraded. Production has continued to decline, despite infill drilling. Operations were suspended in March 2015, due to the escalation of hostilities in Yemen.
