South Kamishldzha Area (Turkmenneft)

Report summary

The state-owned South Kamishldzha Area is located onshore in west Turkmenistan, in the South Caspian basin. The Cheleken field lies separate from the rest of the grouping, 140 kilometres north of the other fields. Despite exploration success, production has generally been in decline since the early 2000s. However, the Altyguyi discovery was commissioned in 2011 and has since supplied important incremental volumes.
