South Korea has little in the way of domestic production, with indigenous gas accounting for around 1% of the country's total demand. All of the country's production currently comes from one gas/condensate field, Donghae-1, located around 60 kilometres off the east coast. The field is expected to cease production in 2018, at which time the reservoirs are planned to be converted for gas storage. A satellite field tie-in, Donghae-2, is expected to commence production in July 2016. ...
