Report summary
South Pars is a super-giant gas field located in the Persian/Arabian Gulf. Iran shares the field with Qatar, where it is known as the North Field. The northeast part of the field is in Iran, while the main part is in Qatar. It is the world's single largest gas accumulation with over 2,000 tcf of recoverable resources. South Pars is being developed in 24 phases - each covering a discrete area. A consortium led by TotalEnergies, with CNPC and Petropars, secured the South Pars Phase 11.
