South Pars is the north eastern part, within Iranian waters, of the super giant field which is known as the North Field in Qatar. The field is located in the Persian Gulf between Iran and Qatar, and contains around 1,300 tcf of recoverable gas reserves. It is considered the world's single largest gas accumulation.
