The Southwest Meleiha fields are located in the Western Desert, approximately eight kilometres east of the Apache-operated Siwa fields.Exploration began in 2018 targeting deeper plays of the Faghur Basin. Eni discovered Southwest Meleiha A and Southwest Meleiha B in 2018. Both fields were brought onstream in 2019 through early production facilities.
