Stones (WR 508) is a large field in the Walker Ridge protraction area of the Central Gulf of Mexico. The reservoir lies in subsalt, Lower Tertiary-aged sands, with potentially more than 2 billion barrels of oil equivalent in place. Despite the large resource potential, reserve volumes are limited due to significant development challenges including low permeability and porosity.
