Report summary
The Syrian Gas Company (SGC) operates several gas plants in the Palmyra and Deir Ez Zor regions. The plants are supplied by non-associated gas from Syrian Gas Company operated fields, and associated gas from Syrian Petroleum Company operated fields - with over 40 fields contributing in total. There are three gas plants in the Palmyra region, with a combined capacity of 600 mmcfd, while a single gas plant in Deir Ez Zor further east has a capacity of 450 mmcfd. Gas is delivered to power stations in the Damascus area via the main gas network. Condensate and LPG is an important product for residential and commercial buyers.
