The Tchatamba Marin, Tchatamba South and Tchatamba West fields are in shallow water offshore Gabon. They form the Kowe licence. Marathon Oil discovered these fields between 1995 and 1998, and developed them using wellhead tripods and platforms. The licence produced its first oil in 1998.Initially, production was exported via a floating, storage and offloading (FSO) vessel, the Madiela.
