Tethys Petroleum (Toronto listed) operates the onshore Akkulkov, Kiziloi and Kul-Bas blocks. They are located in southwest Kazakhstan, to the northwest of the Aral Sea. The project comprises several oil and gas fields, including the producing Akkulkov and Kiziloi gas deposits, and the Klymene oil field .
