Third largest gas producer in Southeast Asia: Thailand's gas production ranks behind Indonesia and Malaysia. Production plateaued at about 3,000 mmcfd from 2013-2018 but has declined since. In 2024, domestic gas production accounted for approximately 50% of Thailand's total gas demand, supported by PTTEP's commitment to maintain around 1,500 mmcfd from its two key offshore projects-G2/61 (Bongkot) and G1/61 (Erawan).
