The new pre-salt map after the 2017 and 2018 bid rounds: all eyes on Brazil's Santos basin
Report summary
Brazil has seen two years of very intense offshore licensing activity with six recent bid rounds with more than 25,000 km2 acreage awarded in the Campos and the Santos basins. Petrobras continues to be the biggest acreage holder within the pre-salt polygon, but IOCs have been increasingly expanding their exposure through the recent PSC rounds. Through the PSC Round 5 new companies joined the growing ranks of IOC pre-salt operators.
