Since production from Paleogene reservoirs began in 2010, it has grown by 100x to 320,000 boe/d. Five Paleogene projects have achieved FID in the last four years with a committed spend of over US$6 billion and are set to come onstream between 2024 and 2025. As we draw close to first oil from this wave of projects, we analyse the last ten years of exploration and production from the Paleogene and assess the future of the play.
