TotalEnergies has agreed to sell its 10% non-operating position in the SPDC JV (Shell JV) to Chappal Energies. The deal consideration is US$860 million. TotalEnergies is the latest Major to announce a divestment of non-core Nigerian assets while focusing on gas developments and deepwater assets. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval from the Nigerian government.
