In March 2021, the UK's government and oil and gas sector agreed a deal that will look to leverage the upstream industry's capabilities and accelerate the green energy transition. Our conclusion is that the deal is a step in the right direction, but more - and quicker - progress is required around funding, carbon pricing and regulation to really kick start investment.
