Report summary

Achimgaz is a 50:50 JV between Gazprom dobycha Urengoi (a Gazprom's wholly owned subsidiary) and Wintershall which is developing the Achimov I block. This is part of the super giant Urengoiskoye gas condensate field which has been producing dry gas for over 35 years from the massive Cenomanian horizon (depth between 1 100 and 1 700 metres). The Achimov formation is deeper at around 3 800 metres and is much more challenging to develop with high temperature and pressure conditions ...
