Vankorskoye is the largest East Siberian oil and gas field and a key provider of volumes to the East Siberia Pacific Ocean (ESPO) pipeline. The field was discovered in 1989 but development only began in 2006 as the logistical challenges relating to crude exports were overcome with the finalisation of ESPO.
