This report summarises the messages we received from Vietnam’s upstream stakeholders after several weeks of ground research. The country’s upstream desperately needs improvements, and it seems some progress is coming along in 2022. Key events we expect to happen in the second half of the year include: • A long-awaited major FID, • Result on a key well drilled by a Major • Potential further shift in the corporate landscape • Amendments to the Petroleum Law.
