Report summary
The Vigdis area is located between Snorre and Gullfaks in the northern North Sea and includes six separate oil structures. The fields have been developed in phases using subsea templates tied back to the Snorre Tension Leg Platform (TLP). The first phase involved the development of the main Vigdis structures (Vigdis Sentral and Vigdis Vest) and was brought onstream in 1997. Production is processed on the Snorre TLP, with the crude then being transported via a pipeline to Gullfaks A for storage and offloading. Most of the associated gas is injected into the Snorre reservoir.
