The Western Isles Project comprised the Harris and Barra fields, in the northern North Sea. The fields were expected to be developed as four separate accumulations: Barra, Harris, Lewis and Uist. However, Harris and Lewis were later considered to be one field called Harris, while Barra and Uist became known as Barra.
