Zarat
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
Zarat is an oil and gas field in the eastern Gulf of Gabes on the Tunisian/Libyan maritime border. The field is unitised across the Zarat permit (operated by PA Resources) and the Joint Oil block (operated by a Tunisia/Libya consortium), which extends into Libyan waters. The Zarat exploration block also includes the Elyssa and Didon North discoveries. In November 2015, PA Resources announced intention to divest its assets. The development of the Zarat field is therefore dependent on PA Resources receiving a farm-in offer. Development plans also depend on an unitisation agreement being successfully negotiated.
