Top 10 solar inverter players take up 82% of global market share

Global solar photovoltaic (PV) inverter shipments grew 22% in 2021. Despite soaring raw material prices, supply chain challenges and delayed constructions, shipments rose by 40,250 MWac to an all-time high of 225,386 MWac.

The top ten vendors contributed to around 82% of market share – up from 80% in 2020 – with Huawei and Sungrow cumulatively making up more than 44% of the market. Shipments to Asia Pacific contributed to 51% of the global market, with China alone accounting for 33%.
