Cerrolargo Norte coal mine
Report summary
The Cerrolargo Norte mine is located in the municipality of La Jagua de Ibirico in an anticline structure located southwest of Glencore's La Jagua mine. The mine uses typical truck-and-shovel mining methods in two pits: North Pit and South Pit. Cerrolargo Norte's production has always been stalled as a result of low productivity levels and operational issues, either under a contract miner or direct ownership mining. The mine has one of the lowest productivity levels within our Colombian dataset.
