Cerrolargo Sur coal mine

Report summary

The Cerrolargo Sur project is located in the south block of the Cerrolargo anticline, southwest of the La Jagua syncline. Cerrolargo Sur will be a surface mine using typical truck-and-shovel mining methods. In August 2015, the US firm Murray Energy Corp. acquired Goldman Sachs' coal assets in Colombia, Colombia Natural Resources (CNR). The deal included La Francia, El Hatillo and Cerrolargo Sur mining properties as well as a stake in Fenoco and the Rio Cordoba port concession.
