Report summary
Sonoma was the first mine to be developed by Queensland company QCoal. The mine is located close to Collinsville in the northern Bowen Basin, producing both thermal and metallurgical export coal. We include Cows' reserves as part of the Sonoma asset report. Sonoma, Jax, Cows, and Drake are collectively called the Northern Hub operation. However, we analyse Drake and Jax separately because it has a different ownership structure. Sonoma operated within mine leases ML10325, ML10326 and ML 10327 before its closure in 2020.
