Report summary
Coal-fired generation picked up in June as temperatures rose around the country. Generation will remain high throughout the summer giving utilities an opportunity to work down their large stockpiles. However, demand remains tepid. Producers will still need to trim excess capacity to suit the downsized market longer term.
