Report summary
Peabody has three operating mines in the Powder River Basin: North Antelope Rochelle (NARM), Caballo and Rawhide. North Antelope Rochelle is one of the largest mines in the world, although output has been dramatically reduced since the 2020 pandemic. In 2024, production drops by 6 Mst from 2023 to 80 Mst. Average costs rose again in 2024 due to inflation, as well as lower productivity and some higher strip ratios as the company adjusts operations. All Peabody PRB coal is marketed domestically to utility customers.
