Report summary
The Tabang mine is a low-rank coal operation located in East Kalimantan, owned and operated by Bayan Resources. The Tabang concessions are located alongside the Belayan River in Tabang, East Kalimantan. The mine is comprised of eight IUP concessions, of which three are being developed: Fajar Sakti Prima (producing); Bara Tabang (commenced production in 2014), and; Brian Anjat Sentosa (exploration and appraisal). The mine may ultimately merge with Bayan Resource's neighbouring undeveloped Pakar North and South projects to form a very large low-rank coal complex.
